NJAWBO 2021-2022 Mentoring Circle

The NJAWBO 2021-2022 MENTORING CIRCLE—a 7-month program designed for six to twelve NJAWBO members—is virtual and thus convenient for members from all across the state...and beyond.

When you’re in business for yourself, large or small, you’re in charge of everything. On top of that, you may be trying to do everything. If you are, you’re probably working harder than you ever imagined and are surely a bit lonely at times. Wouldn’t you love to have both an Advisory Board and a specific set time to work ON your business in­stead of IN your business? Imagine how nice it would be to have a group of interested people to reach out to on a regular basis to discuss issues, changes, and ideas in your business. People who are experiencing similar things and have been there, done that.

The Mentoring Circle facilitator, Laurel Bernstein, owner and founder of Laurel Bernstein & Associates, runs her performance-based business helping business owners or their staff members to create and implement plans for exploring more earning opportunities. About 14 years ago she created and started the process called The Mentoring Circle. Laurel notes that evidence-based research indicates business owners who join either a mentoring or a mastermind group earn between 17% and 20% more in their businesses than those who do not.

The Mentoring Circle is a seven-month program designed for six to twelve participants. Each virtual session is 1.5 hours. With commitment, dedication, and active participation, the Circle participants will accomplish five major things for themselves and for each other:

1. The Circle provides an instant naturally occurring group of like-minded business people with various business expertise to function as your professional Advisory Board.

2. The Circle gives each member a chance to identify and work on a large project for their own business with the help of both the group and the coach.

3. The Circle identifies six business-related topics that the group as a whole wants to study together and ensures that the topics are covered and explored for the benefit of the group.

4. Every participant gets the opportunity to have their strengths assessed by an Executive Coach so they can better use the abilities they’re already good at and may be underutilizing.

5. The Circle is the height of relationship building and in-depth networking.

Participating in the Circle guarantees that one project you’ve been putting off gets done. The group supports the other members and uses the group’s thinking to serve as accountability for planning the strategy and getting the tasks done.

The seven dates for the 2021-2022 Mentoring Circle are Nov. 22, 2021, and Jan. 24, Feb. 28, March 28, April 25, May 23, & June 27, 2022. (That’s the 4th Monday of the months listed.)  The fee for this 7-month program is only $99.
